Equipment Checkout & Online Reservations

The online reservation system allows DMC members to make reservations for equipment and resources.

Before you can reserve equipment at the DMC you must first:

1) Be a full time student enrolled in the Schools of Engineering or Arts & Sciences.

2) Come into the DMC and sign a borrower’s contract at the beginning of each fall semester.

For detailed instructions on using our online reservation system, please see this guide to making reservations in the Member Help Wiki. In addition, you may call the DMC during our hours of operation at 410-516-3817.

The Wiki has detailed guides and tutorials for many of the resources offered at the DMC. Viewing the authorization guides here is the first step toward using the DMC’s advanced equipment (including the audio studio, pro video cameras, lighting kits, and more).

Workshops at the DMC

View the Fall 2013 Workshop schedule to browse workshops and register to attend.

Each fall and spring semester, the DMC offers a series of non-credit workshops on a variety of topics. Workshops are generally one to two hours, hands-on sessions that provide an overview of a particular piece of hardware, software or equipment, or a set of tips and techniques in a particular discipline or medium. DMC workshops are free and open to the entire JHU community, although preference is given to fill-time students on the Homewood campus.
