Google SketchUp: 3-D Modeling Made Easy
Description
Need to visualize something in 3D? Use Google SketchUp! This free, easy-to-use 3D modeling program can be used to model building interiors, exteriors, scenery design, molecular modeling, and other virtual world creations. Come meet and learn from JHU Civil Engineering alumni Bonnie Roskes on November 3, 6-8pm at the DMC. Roskes is the author of "Google SketchUp Cookbook: Practical Recipes and Essential Techniques" (2009 O"Reilly Media).
The November 3rd workshop is being held in conjunction with the Sheridan Library's Brody Learning Commons Design Contest. The contest is open to all JHU students, and has a top prize of $250.00 for the winning design submission. The Google SketchUp workshop is intended to provide students with useful information to enable their submission to the Design Contest, but is also open to any Hopkins affiliate interested in Google SketchUp. This workshop is co-sponsored by Sheridan Libraries and the Brown Foundation Digital Media Center.
