Needle Steering At The Haptics Exploratory Lab

This video was filmed in the computational Science and Engineering building on the Homewood campus. It is a documentary on the work of the Haptics Lab, led by Dr. Allison Okamura, among others. It focuses on the overall goals and challenges of the needle steering project, the collaboration of professors and students to achieve these goals, and the technicality of how the project in question, needle steering, works. This specific project aims to use bendable needles to allow doctors to steer a needle to a specific target in the human body. 

Created as a class project in the Digital Media Center's 2008 Intersession Video course.
