Meet Ups: Student Interest Groups. Come to our student ‘meet ups,’ where you can chat with people who share your interests, get new ideas, see what other students are working on, brainstorm new projects. All skill and interest levels are welcome, from novice to pro! All Meet Ups run from 6-7pm, locations listed below.

9/20 Thursday: Maker/DIY Photo Booth Project

What do you do with an old color laser printer? Come to the DMC, Mattin 226 to brainstorm the photo booth project! This Meet up will be facilitated by Cameron Zotter.

9/24 Monday: Game Players & Developers

Are you interested in game development? Have ideas for the Big Screen in the Brody Learning Commons? Want to find others to collaborate with? Join us in Hackerman 111. This event co-sponsored by Department of Computer Science and facilitated by DMC IT guy Milt Reder.

10/18 Thursday: Videographers & Animators

What projects are you already working on? What projects do you want to start? Need to find crew members? Lets get together to talk about Video and Animation! This event co-sponsored by Film and Media Studies and facilitated by DMC Video Specialist Jimmy Joe Roche.

11/7 Thursday: Maker/DIY Guest Alan Grover

Come meet guest developer Alan Grover and brainstorm an audacious idea to develop a prototype of a floating swimming pool that purifies the Inner Harbor water using bog plants, and circulates the water with a solar (non-electric) pump. Alan is a founding member of several Baltimore creative start-ups such as, the Node Hackerspace, Beehive Cowork space, TEDx MidAtlantic, and BMoreSmart.
