Sony PD-170 3-Chip Camera

An authorization test is required to check out DMC video cameras.  The process takes about 15 minutes and must be done in the lab.

High Definition video camera that records on either mini DV tape, to P2 memory cards, or an external firewire hard drive . The camera offers a variety of resolutions in standard and high definition and an array of variable framerates from 12 fps up to 60 fps.

A one-on-one authorization test with either the DMC Video Specialist or a DMC Video Lab Coach is required for this camera. Authorization takes approximately 1.5 hours and an appointment can be set up with phil.davis@jhu.edu or by signing up for Video Lab Coach hours on the schedule signup sheet on the wall next to the front office of the DMC.
